I just had one of those long inbox conversations, my friends always joke that I should have a counseling office, because of the number of hours I spend talking to people online. I have seen so many ‘things are not working’ messages this morning. The pandemic has ruined livelihoods, so many people are jobless homeless plan-less and hopeless, I see it in my inbox, and it sometimes pains me that I cannot help everyone. God has been teaching me to take them to Him; He is their God too and is able to make way for them.
If you are reading this and since the pandemic hit our nation you have been eating well, paying your bills, providing online education for your children, still receiving a salary, your business is still running strong, your family is healthy and strong: consider yourself blessed beyond measure, take time and thank God, it is not luck, it is God. Maybe you have not been doing as well; things have slowed down a bit, well, thank God because you are able to read this. That is a privilege, if you are in a position to reach out, please do so, I have never done this but if you have no idea how or who to help, please inbox me on my social media (Rawder Kidula Kedaha) your help will go a long way in feeding families that are in distress.
Back to my inbox, we have seen journalists get fired and sympathized with them because they are public figures. Think of the many people who have lost their jobs, lost their loved ones and yet it did not hit the headlines, they exist and they are countless. Two people have already confessed that they are moving back to the village because the season rendered them homeless. Maybe you are reading this and you are in this category, wondering how you will pick yourself up and start over. Maybe your relationships are suffering, your marriage, your career, your faith. Please don’t try sort yourself out, allows God to pick you up and start you over. Surrender to the almighty, in whom all things are possible.
The fact that you are reading this means that something is working, not all is lost. God has not been on lockdown, He is still at work in your life. I pray for you this morning, that you will maintain your hope in the Lord, that you will walk by faith and not by sight. May the Lord renew your strength and strengthen your faith in Him, be assured that He is in control of your life and as you delight in Him, you shall not be put to shame. It is not over; God has the final say concerning your life, not your boss, not your landlord, not your situation. Believe that you are not forgotten, God will never leave you and He will never abandon you.
“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” – Zephaniah 3:17
