Only Jesus

2022 has taught me, ‘God’s Grace’ His sufficient grace. Once again the year is almost ending and the only answer I have for how I have made it this far is ‘Only Jesus’ because I have no idea how it happened. I have first hand experience in totally depending on an extra ordinary God to accomplish His purpose through me. It has completely nothing to do with my strength, nothing to do with my expertise (I keep telling you that I am not a writer…hahahaha) nothing to do with my gifts and talents: It has taken the hand of God!

Early this year God instructed me to write a blog ‘So Will I’, It took me a few months to begin, because I had very valid reasons why I wont make it. I don’t like starting things and leaving them half done, that was my major concern. I wont make it! How I’m I supposed to write with my one year old son who is all over! How I’m I supposed to write when I have so much on my plate? I was afraid that it was too much for me, I was doubting my ability. Until God sent a friend of mine to push me, it was unexpected and very clear. So the journey to 100 articles began: and I am here looking at this 100th one with an assurance that i can do all things through Christ who gives me strength: and so can you.

I have written while breastfeeding, ideas have come to my mind while I am cleaning, I have had to wake up early to study, I have had to make some sacrifices, because the assignment was important to me. I came to realize that when I take God’s work seriously, He make things fall into place. He made a way for me, He brought encouragers along the way, He gave me words. Its His work, all I was to do was to be available and willing. It was beyond me, because I have received testimonies even on the days I thought, ‘that one wont make sense to anyone’ a random inbox just appears, someone was encouraged, someone was challenged. To God be the Glory!

When God gives you an assignment, He is not depending on your power and ability but on His. He knows that with Him you are strong and you are able to do exploits. So go for it! Some may appear so small, some may feel like a waste of your time and resources. The evil will remind you that you are not being paid, ‘Why should you write daily with no pay? Do something that will help you make money!’ You will face face discouragement and opposition daily, even from friends and family. But with your eyes fixed on God, you will make it! Through His power and might.

I don’t know what God has instructed you to do. Its Christmas season, maybe you have been instructed to give towards a certain course, maybe you have been instructed to plug in a ministry, to write a book, to start a church, to go back to school. Whatever it is, it is possible through Christ. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, your own understanding will fail you. Acknowledge God throughout the assignment and you will eventually stand and testify. God is ever faithful. He can be trusted. When He commands you to do something, He is sure t can be done through you. So believe in yourself.

I still cannot believe that I am publishing the 100th article today. Indeed, only Jesus! You will also make it, if you depend on Jesus, Only Jesus.

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21
