God Repairs

Lets take a random walk on an imaginary farm. The reeds are mature and strong, everything looks so perfect. A farmers dream come true. Then way ahead, there is a weak bruised reed. Trust me. I WILL BREAK IT and throw away. What if it infects the good ones? What good will it bring anyway?

The same happens when I see any bruised potatoes or tomatoes, I don’t pick them. First, I separate them from the special good ones. Second, you should see my face while cutting them, I doubt every step, I keep suspecting that it might spoil the entire food. At times I have misjudged fruits and vegetables just because I saw a small bruise, yet they are perfect on the inside.

It may sound like common sense, to get rid of that which seems weak and misplaced. That which looks hopeless. That which makes the perfect picture look bad. Its easy to give up on the broken, bruised and weak. But in the eyes of God, that is where His power is made strong: In our weakness.
Are you feeling useless, weak and broken. Maybe you look at your life and feel small, thinking you cannot be fixed, thinking you are good for nothing. You are not as strong as other Christians, not as ‘Perfect’ not as ‘good and righteous’ Maybe you are trying hard to fit in. Maybe you are that bruised reed.

I have good news for you. Isaiah 42:3 reminds us today that God does not act like that, He mends the broken. He fixes. He makes whole. He repairs! He takes care of them. He is ready to do that today, Surrender to Him. No matter how dead you think you are, God will never walk around the farm, pluck you and throw you away. He will never give up on you. So please don’t give up on yourself, don’t give up on God. He also says, nothing can separate us from His love. Turn to Him. He will Repair! He will Fix!
