God Remembers

Being part of a ministry can be overwhelming. Especially when you are actively serving God and people in church yet things in your life are stagnant and painful. There is a season in my life when I wanted to quit; the running up and down, fellowships, fasting, praying and reading God’s word did not seem to bear any fruit. In fact, many times things seem to be getting worse, and the world starts mocking your unfruitfulness. I have been there, I wanted out. I wanted to explore other ungodly options. But one of my mentors told me ‘God remembers’ These two words have

God does not forget the work that you do in His name. Hebrews 6:10, NIV: “God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.” God looks at your sacrifices, at your consistency, at your excellence, at your faithfulness. He is just and He reward.  As long as you are working with His name and for His glory then always know that God remembers.

Genesis 8 begins with ‘But God remembered Noah’ It was after the floods and everything was silent. Noah had obeyed God and built an ark even when it seemed ridiculous. At a time when there was no sign of rain. God had made a promise to Noah and He kept His word. Before Noah saw the floods, God had already sent His promise. Indeed, God remembered.

God knows who you are: He has the answer to your need. Like David, lift up your hands with thanksgiving. Thank God that He has not forgotten you. It is not in vain that you are serving God.

God forgets no one, God remembered Daniel, God remembered Rebekah, God remembered Hannah, God remembered Sarah, God remembered Noah, and He will remember you. He remembers your work, your tears and His promise upon your life. Today I glory in the fact that we serve a God who remembers. God has perfect knowledge of who you are and what you are going through; you are not forgotten, God remembers.
