It amazes me that God knew us before we were born. You may probably have heard and believed that, so let me explain what amazes me. So God knew about the establishment of your neighborhood, He gave someone that dream and vision and created you to live there for a particular season for a particular reason. He knew about the establishment of a specific ministry, and even before it was launched He knew how to position you there and the role you should play. It is not a mistake, it is not by chance, God planned for you to be where you are today and there is a reason behind it.
Reminds me of the book of Esther, Mordecai gives hope to Esther, reminding her to play her role because God placed her in the royal position for a specific reason. “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” (Esther 4;14) He convinced Esther of the severity of the situation and motivated her to overcome her fear.
This means God orchestrated that Mordecai would take care of Esther after the tragic passing on of both of her parents. God still had a plan for Esther. He has a plan for you and I. God is not only thinking about you today, He thought about you before your great grandfather was born. We don’t believe in coincidence we believe in providence, God is in control, He delights in every detail of our lives and He orders our steps. He has given us gifts and talents to change the world for His glory.
Many times we spend days and nights grumbling and complaining because we are not like those around us. We lose focus of what God has given us and what He wants us to do. Many times we are discouraged by our shortcomings, focusing on what we have lost instead of what we have left. Be reminded today that God is sovereign; He wasn’t surprised when Esther’s parents died. His plan still prevailed. He is not surprised by your suffering; He is not surprised by your success. He knows and there is a reason behind it: A divine reason.
God has placed you where you are at such a time for a reason. You have gone through all you have gone through for a reason. Don’t waste the reason, don’t waste the season. May the Lord reveal to you your purpose for such a time as this.
